Looking good doesn't have to be expensive
On April 7, (6:00 p.m.) at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Pointe Claire, Dr. Arie Benchetrit, Plastic Surgeon, will be presenting on the latest techniques in facial and body rejuvenation.
At this free public seminar, entitled "New Trends in Plastic Surgery", Dr. Benchetrit will be discussing the full range of non-invasive as well as surgical procedures, including the use of "before and after" photos to demonstrate results.

Subjects discussed will include how to maintain a youthful appearance at a relatively low cost in these challenging times. When surveyed, the vast majority of people say that they would like to do something to improve their appearance but that the number one obstacle to this is the imagined cost. Many non-invasive procedures, such as Botox injections, IPL (intense pulsed light), the Profractional laser etc. can cost less than $400.00 and some others, such as facial peels and microdermabrasion. cost less than $150.00. All of these procedures will produce a healthier, more youthful appearance.

Additional topics which will be covered at this seminar include such leading-edge techniques as:

- UltraShape, Accent, Thermage, Photodynamic Therapy, Lasers, injectables such as Botox, Restylane, and Sculptra as well as new treatments for rosacea and acne.

- "Softlift" for non-surgical facial rejuvenation, using tissue fillers and Botox

- The latest surgical procedures such as "Mini-Lifts", scarless eyelid surgery etc.

Recently, the clinic has been at the center of a lot of exciting news coverage dealing with new cosmetic procedures, especially the new UltraShape device for fat reduction without liposuction or surgery. Since January, they have been featured on the front pages of AOL and Yahoo, as well as on the CTV National News and on ABC's "Good Morning America" (Link:

They have also been asked to appear on "The Doctors" on CBS this summer.

Dr. Benchetrit is a Royal College certified Plastic Surgeon, specializing in Cosmetic Surgery. He is affiliated with the Lakeshore General Hospital and has been in practice since 1991. Since 2001, Dr. Benchetrit is also the Medical Director of Cosmedica, one of the only clinics in Montreal to offer the full range of invasive and non-invasive cosmetic procedures. He has been giving these free public seminars for the past eight years and they have proven extremely popular, with attendance often surpassing 300 people.
