The tradition continues at Centre Greene…
One of the local community centre's most popular events is the annual Treats and Treasures Bazaar, a holiday craft sale that attracts many people from the Westmount area.
This year's event takes place this Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the centre, 1090 Greene Ave., below Dorchester.
As in previous years, the Treats and Treasure Bazaar promises fun for all ages, offering a wide variety of activities and treats such as artisan crafts, fabulous gifts, bake sale, and cookie decorating.
One of this year's special attractions will be Westmount resident Stuart Robertson, the CBC broadcaster and long-time Gazette gardening columnist. Robertson will be on hand at Centre Greene to answer all sorts of gardening questions, and to sign copies of his books on organic gardening.
Some of the crafters and vendors participating in the bazaar include Dix Mille Villages (fair trade crafts and food products), Clint Cooks Jams (homemade jams and jellies), Brome Photo (framed original photos, stock photography and advice on photo restoration), Mont Echo Naturels (natural skin and hair care products), Boutique L'hasa Bakor (Tibetan products), LaLa Land Designs (handmade totes, bags and other accessories), and many more.
Admission to the event is free. For more information, call Centre Greene at 514-931-6202 or visit
