Contactivity Centre holds its annual Craft Sale and Bazaar from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 4695 de Maisonneuve Boul. W. (corner of Lansdowne). Unique handknits for children and adults, crafts, gift items, wreaths, homemade preserves, bake table, a raffle, gently used clothing and books, and a nearly new table. The Marianopolis College Professional Music Program’s 2008-2009 Concert Series begins with a faculty concert by Hugh Cawker (piano), Irene Feher (mezzo soprano), Lillian Heron (piano), Claudia Schaetzle (soprano and alto saxophones) and Gwendolyn Smith (cello), joined by Amy Zanrosso (piano). In duos and trios they will perform classical and musical theatre pieces as well as Latin music by 20th century composers. All are welcome to the concert, which is free and begins at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at the College, 4873 Westmount Ave.

Mountainside United Church, (northwest corner of The Boulevard and Lansdowne Avenue) holds its annual bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The bazaar will feature a much bigger bake table this year, where one can buy jams and jellies, pickles and other homemade confections. There will be several other attractions including an art gallery, collectibles and antiques. The event will also repeat many of the old favourites such as Christmas gifts, toys, decorations, books, knitted items and fine linens. A light lunch will be available. Ballroom Dance Classes for people living with Parkinson's to be given at Centre Greene. Instructors are Susan Chiasson, ballroom dance teacher and Ellen Rubin, retired physiotherapist who specialized in the treatment of neurological conditions and has been a dancer for 12 years. This is a social dance class for those living with stage 1 or stage 2 Parkinson's. Must bring an able-bodied partner. The goal of this class is to learn to dance and have fun.
