Lawn Bowling season opens Monday
With the final disappearance of the snows in Westmount, the Westmount Lawn Bowling Club is now staring its summer season.
The opening will be on Victoria Day, May 19. Aspiring and returning members will be welcomed at the Club for practice and coaching between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Attire is not important, but soft-soled shoes are required. Games in earnest will start at 1:30 p.m.
As in previous years, Westmounters who would like to try their hand at this excellent summer activity should come to the Club on Wednesday evenings at 6:45 p.m. They will be shown the elements of lawn bowling by club coaches.
