Fresh from a successful first-time run this past fall, Repercussion Theatre has announced that it will again hold classes focusing on Shakespeare's work and art this January.
Beginning Jan. 19, the company will offer two classes — Professional Shakespeare Training (for adults with previous theatre training) and Aspiring Actors Training (for 10- to 18-year-olds). These courses are designed to help professional actors develop their training and teach young people the fundamentals of acting with a special focus on Shakespeare's work.
Teachers include renowned voice coach Rea Nolan, Repercussion Theatre's artistic director Paul Hopkins, veteran actress and director Amanda Kellock, and Jeanne Bowser, lead actress in the YTV series Fries with That.
The public is invited to attend a special open house this Saturday, Jan. 12 in order to meet the teachers and find out more about the Shakespeare Training Program. The event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at Repercussion Theatre's downtown studio at 1006 de la Montagne, suite 111.
Building on its reputation as Montreal's Theatre in the Parks company, and further fulfilling its mandate to inspire people to a lifelong love of theatre, Repercussion Theatre invites the public to experience the art that has inspired this company for 20 years.
