Assault charges for Ontario teen who allegedly bullied boy for 2 1/2 years

CANNINGTON, Ont. - Police have charged a 15-year-old boy in Durham Region who had allegedly been bullying another student at his school for more than two years.
Durham Region police were contacted by staff at Brock High School in Cannington, Ont., after a 14-year-old student was assaulted during a lunch break in mid-April.
Police allege the accused choked the 14-year-old boy into unconsciousness.
Investigators say they learned that the younger boy had been bullied during lunch periods for about 2 1/2 years.
In one alleged assault, the accused shoved the victim down a flight of stairs.
The 15-year-old suspect, from Sunderland, Ont., has been charged with three counts of assault and was removed from the school.
