Off-duty OPP officer killed in car-motorcycle collision in N. Ont.

NAIRN CENTRE, Ont. - Provincial police say an off-duty officer has died in a collision on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Sudbury, Ont.
Police say the motorcycle the officer was driving collided with a car Sunday afternoon near Nairn Centre.
The two occupants of the car were taken to the Espanola General Hospital where they are being treated for minor injuries.
The names of the those involved were not released.
Highway 17 remained closed at Nairn Centre late Sunday.
Police say they anticipate smaller vehicles would be allowed through late Sunday night, while transports would be kept out of the accident area until early Monday.
