HUNTSVILLE, Ont. - One person was killed and two others suffered serious injuries in a head-on collision Wednesday night near Huntsville, Ont.
Provincial police say a pickup truck crossed the centre line on Muskoka Road 117 at about 8 p.m. and struck a passenger van.
The driver of the van, 81-year-old Anson Hardy of Mississauga, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, 77-year-old Isabel Hardy, and the driver of the pickup truck, 41-year-old Christopher Smith of North Bay, suffered serious injuries.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation although police say the road was wet at the time.
