PEACE RIVER, Alta. - RCMP say a man walking to the bathroom from his seat on a chartered bus was beaten by another passenger.
Peace River RCMP say the attack took place on Thursday about 4:30 a.m.
The bus was going to Fort Smith, N.W.T. from Peace River, Alta.
The man was taken to Peace River hospital, then airlifted to an Edmonton facility for specialized treatment for a broken nose and other facial injuries.
Mounties say it's unclear if the attack was the result of a prior conflict between the two people.
Lyle Frank Emile, 25, of Fort Smith, is charged with aggravated assault and is scheduled to appear in Peace River provincial court on Monday.
