TORONTO - Liberal MP and gas price watcher Dan McTeague says motorists will see some relief at the pumps on Tuesday.
He says the price of a litre of gasoline will drop by between six and nine cents at midnight Monday.
He predicts that the pumps in Toronto and London, Ont., should be sitting at $1.29 a litre down nine cents.
Ottawa should see a drop of about eight cents to $1.26 while Montreal will be at $1.40 down nearly seven cents.
Calgary should be at $1.28, a drop of about six cents while Kamloops, B.C., and the Okanagan could be at $1.36 a drop of about six cents.
Pump prices soared as much as 13 cents in some parts of the country the day before hurricane Ike hit.
Despite the talk of lower gasoline prices they continued to rise on Monday, with the national average topping $1.42, according to Gasbuddy.com.
