PINCHER CREEK, Alta - It's been more than a decade since a woman and her RCMP boyfriend were found murdered in Pincher Creek, Alta., and the woman's family is beginning to give up hope the case will ever be solved.
Lorraine McNab and Sgt. Peter Sopow had been shot to death - their bodies found in a horse trailer just south of Pincher Creek in December 1997.
Grant McNab says time may heal some of the wounds, but he is starting to believe that justice will not be done in the death of his sister and her boyfriend.
He says it seems unfair that the murderer, likely from the area, is walking around a free man.
RCMP Sgt. Patrick Webb admits the case is not under active investigation right now and tips in the case are few and far between.
He says there is evidence, but investigators are waiting until new technology can be used that will lead to charges actually being laid.
