CAMPBELLFORD, Ont. - A lockdown at Warkworth Institution near Campbellford, Ont., has been lifted following a search for weapons.
The lockdown began after two inmates were stabbed by two other prisoners on Sunday in the medium security prison. The inmates' injuries were not life-threatening and they have since been returned to their cells.
Guards seized weapons believed to have been used in the stabbings and provincial police may lay charges against two suspects.
The search for additional weapons ended late Tuesday and the regular routine at the prison resumed today.
