London, Ont., police say death of former Canadian wrestler not suspicious

LONDON, Ont. - Police in London, Ont., say the death of three-time Olympic wrestler Harry Geris is not suspicious and the case is now closed.
Geris - known as the Gentle Giant of Canadian wrestling - died last Thursday at the age of 60. His body was found by a construction worker behind a high school where Geris was delivering wrestling mats for a tournament.
Geris, who was born in The Netherlands, competed as a heavyweight at the Mexico City Olympics in 1968.
He also wrestled for Canada at the Munich Olympics in 1972 and at Montreal in 1976 in addition to being a 10-time national champion.
