REGINA - A woman who drove her car into a group standing outside a Regina nightclub, dragging two people underneath it, has been sentenced to 18 months in jail.
Simone Loffler, 22, pleaded guilty last year to three charges, including impaired driving causing bodily harm and dangerous driving. Court heard Loffler fled the nightclub after a fight in July 2005.
She then struck three people with her car in a parking lot before hitting a man and a woman as she sped away.
The two were dragged about 270 metres before they were bumped off as the car crossed some railway tracks, and were seriously injured.
Loffler also faces a three-year driving ban upon her release.
