QUEBEC - Swollen rivers caused by heavy rains forced the evacuation of some homes throughout Quebec on Tuesday.
People in some 40 residences in Saint-Alexis-des-Monts in central Quebec were forced out of their homes because a local river overflowed its banks.
Another 35 residences were evacuated north of Quebec City.
Many people were also on standby in the Montreal area.
