REGINA - Saskatchewan's premier is backing a plan for Canada's provincial leaders to meet to discuss the current economic climate.
Premier Brad Wall says the volatility on stock markets recently has put everyone "in uncharted waters."
Wall says he expects each province will go the Council of the Federation meeting with some ideas and opportunities in their jurisdictions, as well as a list of the challenges they face.
The meeting is expected to be held after next Tuesday's federal election.
Wall heads to the meeting as the leader of a province where the good times appear to be continuing after RBC Economics said Saskatchewan is expected to lead all provinces in economic growth for the next few years.
The premier says he won't brag, but he will pass along the message that "when Canadians elsewhere are experiencing job loss there is still opportunity here in Saskatchewan."
