BRAMPTON, Ont. - A 42-year-old man in Brampton, Ont., has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing an 11-year-old boy.
Peel police say officers responded to a 911 call on Thursday at about 2:30 a.m. at a city home.
Police allege the man stabbed the boy and then stabbed himself.
Both were taken to hospital and were listed in serious but stable condition.
The man was charged Friday with attempted murder and will remain under police guard in hospital until he can appear in court.
Police say the suspect's name won't be released to protect the victim's identity.
