Ribs no chicken in playoffs
It looks like Mike Ribeiro (a Bob Gainey cast-off from a couple of years ago before he became a point-a-game producer) is playing a major role leading the Dallas Stars in the playoffs.
The Montreal native will probably get into the Western Conference semi-final as they won two road games to start their series against the San Jose Sharks, who have Beaconsfield native Marc-Edouard Vlasic on defence along with former Hab Craig Rivet. Wouldn't Ribeiro love to parade the Cup in Montreal and say "kiss my cup." OK, he still has to get by the Wings and then probably the Penguins in the final to do so, but so far, so good. After eight playoff games, Ribeiro has 11 points.
