Ecumenical walk
For the ninth consecutive year, the Christian communities of St. Laurent will organize an ecumenical walk for forgiveness to celebrate Good Friday on March 21.
This Christian procession aims to commemorate the resurrection of Christ. This year, the Armenian parish of Notre-Dame-De-Nareg will take part in the event. The walk will begin at 9 a.m. at Notre-Dame-du-Bois-Franc church. Other stops include St. Hippolyte, St. Laurent, St. Mark’s, Our Lady of Fatima and finally St. Sixte churches. Carrying a wooden cross, those who walk will also sing and pray between each church.

Started by the Franciscans in the 14th century, this event is now becoming one of St. Laurent’s traditions.
