Marc Garneau speaking at Place Kensington on Tuesday afternoon.
Garneau recounts space travels for local seniors
Residents of Place Kensington had a special visitor on Tuesday afternoon when former astronaut and local Liberal candidate Marc Garneau dropped by to talk to them about the Canadian space program and recount some of his experiences on space shuttle missions.
But while Garneau's visit was meant to be space-related, there was no escaping his recent replacement of former Westmount-Ville Marie MP Lucienne Robillard on the local ballot. Several Place Kensington residents attended the talk dressed in red to reflect their Liberal affiliations and to show their support for Garneau in the next election.
