Minority rights party attains official status
Westmounter Allen Nutik has announced that his fledgling political party AffiliationQuebec has been granted official party status by the Director General of Elections Quebec (DGEQ).

The Redfern Avenue resident, who has led AffiliationQuebec since its inception last year, congratulated the several hundred founding members of the party, calling them courageous and heroic for "standing up in defense of their stolen and abrogated rights."

Following Monday's announcement by the DGEQ, Nutik said that Montreal-area voters will now have a clear alternative to the Charest Liberals, who "have failed dramatically to safeguard the rights of minority Quebecers."

The next step for the party is a planned public rally, which Nutik said will be held on the afternoon of Sunday, March 2 at Hotel Ruby Foos on Decarie Boulevard.
