Cops serve coffee for a cause
Commander Natalia Shuster and her officers at Station 12 are inviting the Westmount community to come out and join them next week for the third annual Coffee Day at the local Calories restaurant, a fundraising event for handicapped children.
The local police officers will be on hand to serve coffee from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. next Thursday, Dec. 13, at the restaurant, located at 4114 Ste. Catherine St.
Last year's event raised a total of $1,687.27 — all of which went directly to the Quebec Society for Disabled Children.
"We had a great turnout last year," said Const. Adalbert Pimentel of Station 12. "We're hoping for the same thing again this year."
