Four of Westmount’s most familiar sites — all interconnected — will be the focus of walking tours conducted by the Westmount Historical Association on Oct. 3.

Topics :
Westmount Public Library , Westmount Park , Westmount

Entitled ‘The Heart of Westmount,’ the Sunday afternoon tours will take participants on guided visits to Victoria Hall, the adjoining art gallery, the flower conservatory, and the Westmount Public Library.

The tours will include extensive discussions of the buildings’ long histories — Victoria Hall and the library both date back to 1899 — and participants will be provided with a free brochure prepared by Caroline Breslaw and Doreen Lindsay of the WHA, published by the City of Westmount.

This bilingual event will be split into two sections. English tours begin at 2 and 3 p.m., and French tours begin at 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Participants are asked to meet at the Westmount Park entrance of the library. Refreshments will be served at the end of each tour. A related exhibition is also being displayed in the Westmount Public Library.

For more information on the WHA’s guided tours, call 514-989-5510.
