Doesn't Saku deserve a season of California Dreamin'?

Could there be a Koivu Conspiracy Theory? I have absolutely no evidence...just a weird gut feeling and a paranoid mind (and just because I'm feeling paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get our Habs!) If Gainey was willing to offer Kovalev a raise and a 2-year deal to stay, I find it hard to believe he didn't think Saku at a paycut would still be good for the Habs. Could it be Mr. Gainey and The Kaptain came to an understanding...that Saku felt it was time to move on and Gainey would cover his back from the flak attack? When failing hands have already been unfairly scorched over the years, its what you'd want your boss to do for you.

Don't you think all those kids Saku's helped and supported and encouraged are wondering why #11 is going?

Wasn't that Saku and Selane Show supposed to be on home ice here!?

Isn't Anthony Calvillo proof you CAN teach an old dog new tricks? AC ran decisively and with vigor and determination vs. the Stampeders. He thanks a growing support network of offseason training and a machine called the HI-Trainer, that's being spearheaded by Brian Robinson and marketed by Emmanuelle Rondeau...a local success story that could take off as their training machine wins more and more converts in the pro sports world.

if William Perry, Bears DT was "The Refrigerator", then Eric Wilson, Als DT/Jumbo Set Fullback and cigar afficionado will have to be "The Humidor." Wilson tells me he was teasing Chip Cox that he'd let the Als' #11` scoop up a loose football in Calgary just cuz he wanted Cox to have the opportunity to dash to the endzone.

My alltime favorite Koivu Kuote: Saku under fire from some pinhead politician who would never be as famous, successful or independent as he, admitted "I talk to my wife in French with the right atmosphere...know what I'm talkin' about?"

He could laugh off the language dolts I only hope he raises the Cup one day.
