The two men who hope to develop the former Marianopolis College site, as quoted in the Examiner of July 3, suggest that the "silent majority" of Montrealers are in favour of "property development."

How did they arrive at this conclusion? Have there been any polls taken that would support such a claim?

Perhaps the "vocal minority" they say are opposed to such development really represent the majority of Montrealers who, it might be argued with about the same validity, would like to see the mountain and its beltway preserved as a site unique to Montreal, along with other historic sites and green spaces that are under siege.
