Parents still looking around for something for their kids to do this summer may have to look no farther than Westmount's own Marianopolis College.
The local CEGEP has announced that its science camp will be back this July, and promises it will be bigger and better than ever. The program has now been expanded to four weeks (July 5 to 30) and will be open to students in grades 3 through 10.
Campers will undertake experiments in robotics, life sciences and physics, as well as diverse recreational activities on the College’s Westmount campus and trips to the Montreal’s world-renowned science centres. Also new this year is a partnership with the Montreal Neurological Institute, which will be joining McGill University’s WOW Lab and Let’s Talk Science to assist in the camp’s program development.
Registration is currently under way, and can be done online, by fax or by mail. The Science Camp will also be holding an Open House event on Saturday, April 10, from 1 to 4 p.m., where kids and parents are encouraged to explore the campus, visit the labs and meet the camp staff.
