Westmounter Allen Nutik has announced his intention to run in the provincial by-election resulting from the recent resignation of Liberal MNA Russell Copeman in the Notre-Dame-de-Grace riding.

The Redfern Avenue resident, leader of the new provincial party AffiliationQuebec, is a long-time activist and advocate for equal rights among all Quebecers. In announcing his intention to run, he took the opportunity to criticize Copeman for what he described as "failure to adequately represent the forgotten rights of Quebec's Anglophones, Allophones, and other minorities in respect to abrogated rights of language, signs, education, and access in Quebec."
